This historical itinerary takes you on an informative (and tasty!) tour of Hull.


The Yorkshire Brewing Company offer unique tours of their facility, giving visitors an insight into how they use local produce in their real ale which is then sold to local pubs, bars and restaurants, as well as supplying local events such as CAMRA’s annual festival. You will have the opportunity to taste some of the different beer and ale and also bring a few bottles away with you as a souvenir.

The Mission Public House – The Mission first opened its doors in 1926 as a Seaman’s Mission and still retains many of its original features including a library with a variety of old books and a stunning stain glass window which offer a poignant reminder of its religious past.

The George Hotel - home to the smallest window in England
Ye Olde Black Boy – Hull’s oldest pub dating back to 1337
Ye Olde White Hart – Hull’s most historic pub, allegedly where the English Civil War started following Charles I being turned away from the city by parliamentarians and leading to the Siege of Hull in 1642.
