Details
Risby fishing ponds was built 17 years ago on the ancient site of Risby hall and gardens. The hall was burnt to the ground in 1784 but the Folly remains on the bank of the lake which adopts its name. All the lakes are set in a tree lined undulating valley that once boasted one of the biggest deer parks in Yorkshire. The odd wild deer can still be seen by the die hard early rising fisherman.
At Risby Park it is the perfect place to enjoy idyllic surroundings and a good days coarse fishing. You can also just visit to enjoy food and drink at the licensed lake side café. We also welcome walkers and cyclists who can enjoy the views, café or simply just meet and park before or during their various leisure activities.
