Only here for the culture?

We wouldn’t blame you! “You’re only here for the culture” is one of the more unusual football chants sung by Hull City AFC fans on the terraces. If football’s not your game, we’ve got two top rugby league clubs – Hull FC and Hull Kingston Rovers – so take in a match or treat your VIPs to some corporate hospitality. While you’re here, there might be time to try out some of our excellent golfing facilities, spend a day at the races, or why not also enjoy the rich cultural seam that’s part of the fabric of both city and county.

We love a good festival in Hull and East Yorkshire, whether it’s an annual celebration of literature, music, freedom, theatre, comedy, LGBTQ pride, food, Christmas, kites, street theatre, walking, art, film, gaming, photography, tech, or even larger-than-life puppets.

Be sure to confirm the dates of your conference as early as possible and we can help build an extended social programme to ensure your delegates don’t miss out.

On The Waterfront

Hull’s waterfront has a real cosmopolitan feel. Soak up the scenery or sit back and enjoy tapas and a glass of wine with the sun setting on the

water? Sitting on the marina you could easily mistake it for somewhere a lot more Mediterranean.
For something more active, get your team ready for a life on the ocean waves with a team-building exercise onboard the Cat Zero yacht.

Cultral Quarter
With, this rather retro location is now a hive of activity. Winner of the UK Great Street Award and named in the UKs top 10 hippest places, the historic Fruit Market is the place to be! The historic Fruit Market area near Hull’s Marina is now the home to a thriving cultural quarter with some of Yorkshire’s finest eateries, microbreweries and a gin distillery alongside art galleries, live music, creative workshops and boutique markets. A definite on any delegate’s to-do list.
Go Rural

Outside the city centre, the picturesque towns, villages, historic houses and countryside of East Yorkshire provide a serene backdrop with plenty of wow factor.

Yorkshire Wolds is a relatively small crescent of rolling chalky countryside, arcing from glorious Filey with its miles of golden beaches in the north to bustling Hessle, home of the world-famous Humber Bridge, in the south.

Hull's Historic Old Town

Hull’s historic Old Town has a significant place within British history. Visit Beverley Gate where King Charles I was refused entry into the city causing the start of the English Civil War.

Take a peek through the world’s smallest window at the George Hotel and visit Hepworth Arcade where Mr Marks and Mr Spencer had one of their first penny bazaars!
If you need a helping hand then Hull has a number of guided and self guided tours which leads to some of the city’s most stunning cultural locations.
