Filming in Hull and East Yorkshire

Visit Hull and East Yorkshire welcome film crews to the region which has an incredible mix of locations to make use of.

Hull City Council in partnership with Creative England are on hand to provide support the industry visiting the region.

Recent productions include the drama South Riding shot in a variety of locations across East Yorkshire, “A Royal Night Out” a VE Day feature film using old town Hull and the Guild Hall as an opulent backdrop. Also shot in Hull the gritty sequel ID2 Shadwell Army will be released in 2016.

Bridlington and Beverley have also played host to the recent filming of Dads Army, Beverley Minster is doubling as Westminster Abbey for a major new ITV drama series on the early life of Queen Victoria to be seen on tv screens in 2016.

We have seen an increase in the number of filming requests that include the use of drones. All requests for filming with a drone will require the operator to hold a current CAA Permission for Aerial Work (PFAW) and liability insurance.
