The Wilberforce Learning Centre is a newly developed education, community and business space with full wireless technology. It has catering and education facilities and a fully sprung dance floor for dance workshops and performance art. It is a significant new feature in Wilberforce House, a Grade One listed building, which has few purpose-built visitor service areas.

There are 15 new learning programmes for primary and secondary schools relating to the Wilberforce Museum Project, which the Yorkshire Renaissance funded learning team are producing to add greater value to the displays.

These hands-on learning programmes focus on:–
The life and work of William Wilberforce
The abolition movement
West African culture
The transatlantic slave trade

For further information on private, cultural or educational hire for the Wilberforce Learning Centre, and to check prices and availability, please phone 01482 300300.
