The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra perform some of the best-loved pieces by Kodály, Rachmaninoff and Dvorák

"KODÁLY Dances of Galánta
RACHMANINOV Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini
DVORÁK Symphony No.9, ‘From the New World’

Kerem Hasan Conductor
Mark Bebbington Piano

Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Join the nation’s favourite orchestra for an evening of orchestral gems, beginning with Kodaly’s enchanting Dances of Galánta, a musical tour of the composer’s native Hungary, featuring the folk melodies that helped form its musical identity. The centrepiece of this evening’s performance is Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, a devilishly technical and lavishly expressive work, performed by celebrated pianist Mark Bebbington.
Dvorák’s powerful yet poignant ‘From the New World’ Symphony concludes the evening; a rightful staple in the top 20 of Classic FM’s ultimate Hall of Fame."
