From plough to plate, we love food!

The unique landscape and geology of the Yorkshire Wolds makes it excellent farming country for both crops and livestock, while game and seafood are also in abundance.

Which in turn means that the chefs at our cosy tea rooms, cafes and fabulous restaurants have access to the very best produce, right on their doorsteps, whatever the season.

Yorkshire is famously home to the most Michelin-starred restaurants in any region outside of London, and one of them, The Pipe and Glass Inn, is in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds

And if you’re a keen cook, you can get hold of those same ingredients at one of the many wonderful food festivals, farmers’ markets, farm shops and bakeries across the region, including a specialist game and seafood festival or if you need a culinary brush up, spend time at one of our fabulous cookery schools!
