After an incredible celebration of our 25th anniversary in 2017, we're back in July 2018 at venues across the city, with some of the most exciting UK jazz talent.

The full programme will be announced at Easter 2018. The following shows at Hull Truck Theatre are on sale now.

On Friday 20 July, legendary guitarist John Etheridge joins forces with sensational vocal star Vimala Rowe. Their stunning live set takes the listener on a musical journey, travelling effortlessly from India to Africa, the Middle East and the USA.

Following a fabulous celebration of Dusty and Shirley at Hull Truck Theatre in November 2017, Wall to Wall Prince sees star vocalist David McAlmont return on Friday 20 July. He'll be joined on vocal duties by UK soul star Natasha Watts. Backed by a stellar band led by Music Director Janette Mason, they're going to party like it's 1999, as we celebrate one of the 20th century's most influential artists.

On Saturday 21 July, we're celebrating the 300th anniversary of the world's most famous jazz city. The Dime Notes dig back into the blues-drenched sounds of clarinet-driven 1920s New Orleans jazz. On the way, they unearth a repertoire of stomps, blues, and forgotten gems of the era from musicians including Johnny Dodds, Jelly Roll Morton and Red Nichols.

Next up on Saturday 21 July, one of the rising stars of UK jazz, MOBO-nominated alto saxophonist Camilla George brings her Quartet to Hull Truck Theatre. They'll be performing tracks from their debut album, Isang, a celebration of the jazz tradition, from its African roots to its modern forms.

And wrapping up our Saturday programme at Hull Truck Theatre, we welcome back British saxophonist Denys Baptiste and his Quartet. With The Late Trane, Baptiste reimagines and reworks ten pieces from John Coltrane's late music (from 1963 - 1967).
