So called due to the colour of the habits which the Friars wore who lived here from 1293, this is now a portal into Hull’s Old Town. High Street stores lead way to smaller independent shops and on to the Indoor Market.
In the past few years Hull's historic Fruit Market has been brought back to life thanks to a number of thriving new creative and cultural venues. With art galleries and live music, as well as boutique markets and fine dining, this rather retro location is now a hive of activity. Situated next to Hull Marina it provides access to fantastic restaurants, traditional pubs and stunning views over the River Humber.
This Grade II Listed Arcade is best known for local landmarks such as Dinsdale's joke shop, Fanthorpe's television store and Beasley's fashion emporium but it is where Mr Marks and Mr Spencer set up one of their first penny bazaars.
Opened in 2009, Travel Extra is conveniently located for disabled passengers travelling into Hull by bus, train or taxi. It serves customers from Hull and the East Riding as well as those from across the country who visit Hull.
