What to do with your spare time?

With our region covering such a vast area including city, coast and countryside, Hull & East Yorkshire really is the place to be to relax, unwind and enjoy a leisurely day, weekend or holiday.

The Yorkshire Wolds could have been made for cycling, walking and picnics. Peaceful roads and countless paths meander through gentle unspoilt countryside a world away from the pressures of daily life. Yet, with welcoming villages and traditional inns dotting the landscape, there are plenty of opportunities to pass the time and enjoy a spot of refreshment.

If city life is more your thing then there's plenty to do here as well, a spot of shopping, a visit to one of 8 free museums were you can enjoy pleasures of the past. The great outdoors can provide you with a wide range of activities, from a simple picnic location or a good dog walking spot to gliding high above the Yorkshire Wolds or skimming over the ocean off the coast of Bridlington.

Shopping

The phrase 'Shop till you drop' could have been coined in Hull. So come prepared for a shopping expedition unlike any other.
