The Northern Academy is an all encompassing performing arts school covering all areas of dance, musical theatre and drama.
The Academy has a highly motivated team of professional teachers and contributes to the community with large scale involvement in out-reach projects, working very closely with special needs and learning difficulty students.
In September 2005 the Academy introduced its new full time teacher training course in dance, accredited by the ISTD. There are only six such courses in the UK and the training covers Classical, Modern and Tap dance also psychology and child development units.
The Academy also offers a Foundation course in dance for students who may wish to take the ISTD Training course but have not achieved the necessary entry qualifications. The Foundation course is a Level 2 while the Teacher Training is a Level 4.

By Road: The Northern Academy of Performing Arts is situated at the top of Anlaby Road, in the centre of the city. By road from the M62, continue down the A63 onto the Clive Sullivan Way, over the flyover and turn left at the first set of lights. NAPA is the second turning on the left.
By Rail: NAPA is situated directly next to the side of the Paragon Interchange, Hull. There are five direct services a day to London and frequent services to many other major cities.
