Mother Goose

Mother Goose

Mother Goose contains all the traditional elements of a great pantomime: a handsome principal boy who meets a beautiful girl, a comedy dame and her bumbling son who cause havoc, and a central battle of good and evil between the Demon King and the Fairy Happiness.

Jonathan Parker of One Off Productions said: “I’m delighted to be working with Hull City Hall on a Christmas show, having worked with Hull New Theatre on numerous productions over the last 10 years. Mother Goose will be a high quality production with some fantastic local actors and special guests.”

Councillor Terry Geraghty, Chair of the Hull Culture and Leisure Ltd Board and Portfolio Holder for Culture and Leisure, said: “We know how popular the pantomime is in Hull and wanted to ensure that the tradition can continue whilst Hull New Theatre is closed for major renovations. It is fantastic to have the opportunity to be able to provide something a little different in a new setting. Mother Goose is a pantomime which has not been performed in Hull recently and looks set to be a truly festive event in the unique setting of Hull City Hall.”
