With a tongue-in-cheek, yet respectful, nod to the great tradition of British brass bands, Hackney Colliery's influences are as diverse as the London borough that gave them their name.

Inspired by New Orleans marching bands, Balkan beats, contemporary hip hop, dubstep and R&B, sizzling Latin brass, African polyrhythms and high octane rock, the Hackney Colliery Band bring the UK colliery brass band tradition bang up to date.

Drop in a few unexpected covers from the likes of Goldie, The Prodigy, Kanye West and even Toto, and you can be certain that an audience will have never heard anything quite like it.
