A Family's Journey through the Old Town of Hull

A Family's Journey through the Old Town of Hull

Details

The artist Shirley Goodsell shares her family’s story in a series of oil paintings and memorabilia that link her family’s history with the social and economic changes around the area of the Old Town of Hull. Her Uncle Jack was the last blacksmith in the Old Town and her Great Grandfather James was a mariner from Hull who sailed around the Cape of Good Hope.

Shirley has had previous successful solo exhibitions in Beverley Minster, The Wolds Gallery in South Cave and Art & Rose Gallery in Pocklington.
