Chef/Patron, James Allcock has seen 1884 Dock Street from the very beginning when the building was run down, dilapidated and hanging on for a much needed injection of life, to where it is now today, a restaurant that has taken the time to create a unique experience for food lovers. James has been very conscientious and he has made sure that 1884 plays a pivotal role in supporting the local tourism offering. James is integrated himself and the restaurant into local and regional partnerships to ensure that Hull (Marina area) are highlighted as a destination to visit.
James' prominent style of creating a unique British dish has allowed 1884 Dock Street Kitchen to evolve every day with the menu creating unique variety from one day to the next. The Chef/Patron allows his imagination of dishes to be depicted by what is being delivered to him that day. This unique way of setting his menu allows foodies to have a new experience every time they come through the doors of 1884 Dock Street Kitchen.
1884 Dock Street Kitchen models itself on the meat packing district of New York and when you enter the building you will instantly feel like you are in another corner of the world. James and the team will greet you and create an experience from ordering your drink at the bar, to then walking out of the building at the end of the evening.
