Goole Museum is on the 1st floor above Goole Library in the town centre. The permanent exhibition interprets the local and social history of the town and prot of Goole, and includes a Shipwall containing Builders scale models of ships built in the port by Goole Ship Builders and Repairers, including Sir Malcolm Campbell's yacht, Bluebird. There are also reconstructions of the Aire & Calder diver inspecting the base of the dock wall, a Goole hair-dressers salon and a 1950s boys bedroom. There is also a range of hands on activities for children.

The temporary exhibition gallery has a changing programme of (on average) 10 exhibitions a year, relating to art, craft and aspects of local social history drawn from the museum's collections.

Goole museum has the largest collection of marine portraits by Goole-born artist Reuben Chappell outside a National collection, as well as ship portraits by other Pierhead Painters There are also good collections of local historic photographs costume and other social history items.

By Road:
Take exit from M62 signposted Goole, then follow road to town centre (Rawcliffe Road). AT 1st set of lights, turn left into Dock Estate. At next jct take left filter lane at lights. Turn left, over dock bridge, and right next lights.

By Public Transport:
Turn left leaving station by steps to underpassage. Walk down pedestrianised section of main shopping strett (Boothferry Road) to clock tower roundabout. Museum is to the left, on the roundabout, above the library.
