Beverley Early Music Festival

Beverley Early Music Festival

Join us for a celebration of music from London - to Venice - to Vienna presented in some of England's finest churches - ranging from the majesty of Beverley Minster (known to millions as the wedding venue for ITV's Victoria & Albert) to the home of the White Rabbit - inspiration for Lewis Carroll's March Hare in Alice in Wonderland - in St Mary's Church, Beverley - to the award-winning heritage centre that is now St James' Warter - with internationally acclaimed artists including Exaudi directed by James Weeks; flautist Ashley Solomon and In Echo with countertenor Alex Potter.

Highlights of the festival include rising stars Il Quadro Animato, Lux MusicaeLondon and the University of York's 24 - and we are particularly delighted to welcome the National Centre for Early Music's youth instrumental ensemble The Minster Minstrels to Beverley for the first time. With illustrated talks, opportunities for recorder players to hone their skills with the extraordinary Piers Adams and community concerts featuring some of the most talented individuals from across the Riding, there is something for everyone in this year's festival.

Tickets will be on sale to NCEM Patrons from Friday 8th December.

The Festival is supported by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, Arts Council England and the National Centre for Early Music.
